Derek ended his grade school career with 13 achievement awards (A's in both semesters in math, science, Bible, and language, Worship Team, leadership in choir, FCA physical fitness, and other things that do not come to mind) and he also won a very prestigious award that one boy and girl get. It is called the Marti Hasz award and it's given to the most Christ-like students in the school. His grade point average was a 3.94 and he just missed getting valedictorian because he got a total of 2 B's throughout his middle school career. And they were both 89%. He is deeply humbled and honored and now he wants to hear what YOU did.
